Be Bop Baby
1997-2023
You can help us help others like Be Bop Baby who was found starving at a farm in Many, Louisiana in January, 2012. Because of the financial support we receive from people like you, we were able to provide care of 15 of the nearly 60 horses found on that farm.
She lived with us from 2012 until she was humanely euthanized in 2023 from infirmities of old age.

Ohbeegeewhyen
2001-2024
Ohbeegeewhyen was a Kentucky bred mare who raced 42 times, winning 9 races and earning $220,749 for her connections. She also had a few foals for breeder Midwest Thoroughbreds in Florida before retiring from her duties. Midwest Thoroughbreds donated Ohbee to Remember Me in 2015. Despite being adopted twice, she was returned both times due to her hard-to-keep nature. Ohbee was made a sanctuary resident in July of 2020.
A couple of years ago Ohbee was diagnosed with Uveitis and a year later was blind in both eyes. She continued to live in her same pasture until May 2024 when she was diagnosed with Anhidrosis, a condition that prevents a horse from sweating, and she was moved in to a stall for treatment and multiple daily baths. Unfortunately, along with other medical conditions, Ohbee couldn't recover and was euthanized on 8/13/2024, just before the forecast was predicting a string of unbearable 110 degree, (heat index), days.
Good bye old friend, your years here were full of surprises. We will miss you.
