We wanted to update TD's page a bit. He has been with us since January and when he first arrived, he was really having a hard time NOT being a racehorse (he did race until he was 7, so it was a tough transition for him). So we gave him quite a bit of time off to try and help him slow his brain down and adjust to life off the track. Then we got to work. In the round pen, he is doing it all. He enjoys all the playing with all of the things - flags, pool noodles, the tarp, you name it, he will play with it. He is generally calm and relaxed in the round pen under saddle as well. Where Truly Danzig is continuing to need support is in his ability to generalize those great skils that he has and that quiet mindframe that he has in the round pen, to outside the round pen in other environments. At this stage in his development, he is showing us that he needs a highly structured, professional type program to help him reach his full potential. He has an incredibly strong work ethic and is going to need a firm yet gentle and patient leader to help him grow into the horse we know he can be!
Does the name Danzig ring a bell? What about Norther Dancer or Native Dancer? If so, you'll want to keep reading!
Truly Danzig is an 8 year old gelding, a winner of over $140,000, a grandson of Danzig, and was recently donated by his racing connections. This handsome bay stands a tick over 17 hands tall.
But wait, there's more! Truly Danzig's half brother, Sunlit Song, just won a race 1/25 and has made over $780,000!
He is absolutely a jaw dropper, so if you are looking for your next horse, don't let this one slip by.
You must have an application on file to visit the horses.
